How to use

Load a whole semester in 20 minutes

Open each syllabus and add every assignment with its due date. The tracker will sort them by deadline and warn you of conflicts.

Understanding the weight field

Most syllabuses list the percentage of your final grade each assignment, exam, or category represents. Enter these percentages. The tracker will sum them for open work, showing you where your time should go. A 15% midterm and a 35% final matter more than small reading quizzes.

If a course doesn't list weights (e.g., all assignments "count equally"), leave that field blank. The weight total will show until you add at least one weighted item.

Filters and sorting

All: every assignment. To do: open work only. Done: completed assignments. This week: due in the next 7 calendar days.

By default, overdue work appears first, then sorted by due date. Completed items move to the bottom.

Editing and deleting

Click an assignment title to edit it inline. Press Escape to cancel, or click elsewhere to save. Click the × to delete—no undo.

Check the box next to a title to mark it done. The assignment will fade and drop to the bottom of the list.

FAQ

Can I sync this between devices?

Not yet. Data lives only in this browser. If you use multiple devices, you can export your list as text, copy it, and paste it into another browser. Consider using the print button to save a PDF backup.

What if I enter a weight over 100%?

That's okay. Some courses over-weight assignments (e.g., 40% midterm + 50% final + 20% homework = 110%). The tracker will show the number as-is and include it in your total. You can still prioritize based on the result.

How do I back up my data?

Click "Export as text" to copy your assignment list. Paste it into Notes or a document. The data is structured plaintext, not encrypted, so treat it like any temporary file. For a long-term backup, take a screenshot or print the page.

Can I set reminders or notifications?

The tracker shows due dates and "Overdue" warnings, but doesn't send notifications. Use your phone's calendar app or a separate tool like Google Calendar to import your due dates and get push alerts.

Does this work offline?

Yes. The entire tool is self-contained and runs in your browser without an internet connection. Your data is saved locally.

How do I group by course?

Check "Group by course" above the list. Assignments will be organized under each course name. Uncheck to return to the default timeline view.
